Rosie Riebl, Pianist / Composer

Rosie Riebl is a Melbourne based pianist, composer, music educator and creative with more than a decade of piano teaching experience.

She tours internationally and performs regularly in Australia, including performances at Melbourne Music Week, Abbotsford Convent Live, Melbourne Fringe Festival and a debut at Melbourne Recital Centre, Salon. Recently she has returned from an extensive Asia tour performing in leading concert halls.

Rosie has been teaching since 2007, with experience in Suzuki, AMEB, contemporary and classical piano across all ages and levels.  At 14 she left school in Melbourne to pursue classical training at the Üniversität für Darstellende Kunst Wien (Music Conservatorium, Vienna) where she performed throughout Austria and completed a year in the youth university program.  She then returned to Australia to complete VCE, which was followed by a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne alongside intensive post-graduate training at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM).  Following her years at ANAM she lived, performed and studied in New York, London and throughout Europe.

In 2014 she received a First-Class Honours for a Bachelor of Music (Hons.) from the University of Sydney.  As a composer and performer, she is a signed artist with Gaga publishing and AWOL distribution.  As a teacher, she imbues teaching with creative expression and joy.  Helping foster an emotional connection between students and the piano, whilst also acknowledging the role concerted effort (regular practice!) plays in forming a lasting and rewarding connection to the piano.
