Samuel Joseph John (Sammy) is a passionate music educator with over nine years of experience teaching classical and contemporary piano. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance, specialising in Popular Music, from Monash University, as well as a Piano Certification from Trinity College London.
Sammy has worked with students of all ages, preparing them for AMEB piano examinations and coaching them in singing and playing worship music. He currently teaches piano in both school and private settings and has experience delivering individual and group lessons across a wide range of levels. In addition to teaching, Sammy has extensive experience as a performing pianist and keyboardist. He has served as Lead Keyboardist and Music Director at his church for nearly a decade, where he has led ensembles, bands, and choirs. His leadership and performance background inform his teaching, and he actively encourages students to broaden their repertoire and participate in performances, recitals, and soirées. Known for his warm and collaborative approach, Sammy creates a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel supported to grow and thrive. He is passionate about music education and brings genuine enthusiasm to each lesson, fostering individual progress through personalised, one-on-one instruction.
