Greg Skalak is a highly regarded pianist, accompanist and music educator offering in-home piano lessons throughout Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
Greg has been playing piano for over 20 years, and working professionally as a pianist and teacher for close to 10 of those. He is a graduate of Monash University with a Bachelor of Music specialising in Classical Piano Performance, along with a further Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (University of Melbourne). Greg consistently achieved high distinctions for both performance and theory-based assessments throughout his university studies, and graduated from both degrees with first class honours. Greg is a patient and engaging teacher with various approaches to learning dependent on the student's specific interests, personality and goals. He is able to teach both classical and modern styles of music, as well as assist students who are looking to explore chord-based improvisation. Greg is thoroughly familiar with the AMEB syllabus and has guided numerous students to A and A+ results across grades from Preliminary to Grade 8.
