Frances Traynes, Piano Teacher
Frances is a classically trained pianist who began learning the piano at the age of five. She studied piano privately with a Russian teacher for 10 years, then continued her studies at the Monash Music Conservatorium. Throughout her piano training she has been involved in numerous eisteddfods and performances.
Frances pays special attention to the student’s musical goals and interests, offering personalised lessons where the student’s musical passion is encouraged while progressing towards higher skill levels. Lessons are well-rounded and include music theory, music history, technical work, aural skills, and sight-reading. As well as teaching classical repertoire, Frances encourages learning a wide spectrum of pieces, including contemporary and jazz. For anyone interested, she also enjoys supporting students to prepare for AMEB examinations.
Frances teaches students of all ages and skill levels. She is passionate about the role of music in life and sharing her expertise and enthusiasm with her students.

30 minutes - $44
45 minutes - $60
60 minutes - $75
Above fees are for ongoing weekly lessons, paid in advance by the term. Casual and fortnightly lessons may be offered dependent on availability and fees are slightly higher.
