At the Lessons: Please arrive for your lesson in a timely manner. For younger students, parents may quietly observe the lesson or run errands during the lesson period. Due to scheduling constraints, lesson times will not be extended if arriving late.
Tuition: Students have the option of paying for casual or ongoing lessons. Ongoing lessons are taught on a weekly basis and require a minimum commitment of one term. Payment for ongoing lessons is due in full 7 days prior to the start of the term. Tuition is non-refundable once a student has commenced the term.
Mid-term enrollments are possible dependent on availability and are billed for the remaining weeks in the term.
Casual lessons may be booked dependent on availability and are billed at the casual rates.
For ongoing lessons we currently accept payment by electronic funds transfer only, invoiced at the beginning of the term. For casual lessons we accept payment by credit card via our online booking system.
Cancellations / Missed Lessons: If the teacher needs to change or cancel a lesson, that lesson will be rescheduled, credited or refunded. A substitute teacher may be provided if a teacher is unavailable due to illness.
If a student cancels a lesson, make-up lessons may be available dependent on teacher availability and are not guaranteed. While we endeavor to reschedule in cases of student illness, with busy teaching schedules this is not always possible.
In general, make-up lessons are limited to once per student, per term. When enrolling in lessons by the term you are reserving and committing to a specific lesson time each week. Likewise, we are committed to teaching you at that time. If you anticipate the need to change or cancel your lessons more than once per term, we recommend casual lessons instead.
Missed lessons do not carry over as credits to the following term.
Students who have planned absences will not be charged if we are notified of dates before the start of the term.
Illness: Parents are advised not to send children to lessons if they are feeling unwell. As above, rescheduling a lesson is dependent on teacher availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Materials: The teacher will suggest music books and resources which can be purchased through the studio, or at your local music store.
School & Public Holidays: Piano lessons are often available during the holiday periods and attendance is optional for ongoing students.
