Indonesian born Anastasia began learning the piano at the age of 3, and participated in her first concert at the age of 3.5. She has been performing in various concerts and competitions since then, winning prizes locally and internationally, including Gold Award at the 5th Singapore Performers’ Festival and Chamber Music Competition.
At the age of 12 she was a high score receiver of Grade 8 ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) for achieving a high mark of 145 (out of 150) for her Grade 8 ABRSM Piano Exam, and at the age of 14 she was awarded dipABRSM (Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music). Prior to her departure to Melbourne she studied under Indonesia’s renowned piano teacher Ms Firstly Theodore (Surabaya) and Dr. Johannes S. Nugroho (Jakarta), and in between she has done several masterclasses, amongst them were masterclasses with Dr. Edward Neeman (USA), Dr. Stephanie Neeman (USA), Mr. Iswargia R. Sudarno (Indonesia), and Ms. Yuko Kumamoto (Singapore). She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree at The University of Melbourne degree, studying under Australia’s renowned concert pianist Janine Sowden. She has recently been awarded The University of Melbourne’s 2017 Frederick Harlock Scholarship for her outstanding recital performance, as well as 2018 Hephzibah Menuhin Memorial Award for her breathtaking performance of Beethoven and Rachmaninoff. She was also one of the finalists of the 2018 3MBS Young Performers Award. Anastasia is experienced at teaching piano for young beginners to advanced level students. Individually tailored, Anastasia makes sure that lessons are fun and engaging, making sure students enjoy learning the piano every step of the way. She is also experienced at preparing students for AMEB exams. Anastasia offers lessons in English and Indonesian. 2019 In-home piano tuition fees: 30 minutes - $50 45 minutes - $70 60 minutes - $90 Casual lessons may be offered dependent on availability.
