Melbourne Piano School offers online piano lessons for students who live outside Metro Melbourne and for those who prefer the convenience of online learning. We offer live, private online piano lessons as a highly effective alternative to face to face learning. Just like traditional piano lessons you will receive specialised guidance from your teacher who will be able to view and hear your playing via webcam and provide in the moment feedback, as well as offer performance demonstrations, share resources, and help you to achieve your musical goals in these engaging lessons. Online lessons are usually conducted through Zoom with cameras positioned at different angles. Some studios include an overhead view of the piano so that students can see the whole keyboard. Professional microphones are used to ensure high audio quality, and notes are sent to students following lessons to assist with learning and integration. Some of the topics covered in online piano lessons include: · piano technique · scales and chords · music theory · playing by ear · sight reading · music history · improvisation · composition Unlike pre-recorded piano courses, online lessons at Melbourne Piano School are specifically tailored to each individual student and their goals. For best progress we recommend that lessons are attended on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Casual lessons may also be offered dependent on teacher availability.
