Georgia is a pianist, vocalist, composer and music educator offering in-home piano and singing lessons throughout Melbourne’s Inner North and Melbourne CBD.
Beginning lessons at the age of 8, Georgia has been playing piano for over 15 years. She completed her Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2020 where she specialised in performance and composition. Georgia is passionate about wide range of musical practices with her compositions taking inspiration from a variety of genres including jazz, folk, minimalist and experimental music. As a pianist, Georgia maintains a diverse practice, comfortably moving between Baroque, Romantic and contemporary music. Georgia has a holistic approach to teaching that incorporates theory alongside aural skills and technique. She aims to make lessons fun and engaging by tailoring repertoire to her student’s interests and abilities. Georgia encourages her students to compose and improvise at the piano, allowing them to develop their own musical voice. She believes that music performance is highly individual, working collaborating with students to achieve their own goals.
