Ben Wong is a classically trained pianist who offers in-home piano lessons in Melbourne CBD, South Yarra, and surrounding suburbs. He is an experienced music educator, solo performer and piano accompanist. Ben has been teaching piano since 2008 and has experience in the primary school setting as well as working with adults in his various roles as a music educator. He has performed at numerous eisteddfods and performing arts festivals and has been employed as a piano accompanist. From 2013 -2015 he was Music Director of a sacred choral music youth group in Fitzroy. In this role he trained young pianists in the art of piano accompaniment and supported them with their understanding of harmony, voice, and music notation. Currently Ben focuses his teaching practice towards beginner level students who wish to start piano for the first time. Students are encouraged to understand the fundamentals of music performance, technical work and music theory that develops their potential to aim for higher level repertoire. Ben provides in-home piano lessons in Melbourne CBD and Melbourne Inner City Suburbs, however he is happy to take on students from the Northern and Eastern suburbs on a case by case basis.
