Yinchi Liu is a Melbourne-based piano teacher known for her warm teaching style, strong technical foundations, and ability to guide students of all ages through AMEB examinations with confidence. Teaching in Armadale and the Melbourne CBD, she works with beginners, adult learners, children with additional learning needs, and advancing students preparing for formal assessments.
Yinchi began playing piano at the age of five and completed the Chinese Musicians’ Association Grade 10 Piano Performers’ Examination—the highest level—at just twelve years old in Beijing. She also holds a Grade 9 Child Singing qualification and Grade 2 Essential Music Knowledge certification, encompassing aural skills, dictation, and foundational theory. Her early training included participation in several national-level piano competitions across China, establishing the strong technical and musical foundation that continues to shape her teaching. Her approach combines classical technique with contemporary learning methods, helping students develop musicality, discipline, confidence, and a lasting enjoyment of music. Her students consistently make strong progress, with many achieving excellent AMEB results and developing a long-term commitment to their musical studies. Alongside piano teaching, Yinchi brings a diverse professional background to her lessons. She holds a Bachelor of Marketing from RMIT University, a Master of Science from EDC Paris Business School, and qualifications in early childhood education and special learning support. She also works as a Support Teacher in the Special Learning Unit at Melbourne Montessori College, supporting children with diverse learning needs. This experience informs her patient, structured, and highly adaptable teaching style. Yinchi creates a welcoming and encouraging learning environment where every student can build confidence, discover their musical strengths, and develop a lasting love of playing the piano. 30 minutes - $50 45 minutes - $70 60 minutes - $90 Above fees are for ongoing weekly lessons, paid in advance by the term. Casual and fortnightly lessons may be offered dependent on availability and fees are an additional $5.50 per lesson. |
