Cynthia Audrey, Pianist & Music Educator
Cynthia Audrey is an enthusiastic, highly qualified and classically-trained pianist with over 18 years of experience in music performance and teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Classical Piano Performance) and is currently pursuing her Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary). She offers in-home piano lessons around Melbourne CBD and the Inner North. Cynthia started her musical journey at the age of 6 under the guidance of Feirist Music Academy and Dr Johannes Nugroho in Indonesia. She has completed her Grade 8 Piano and Theory Exams from The Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) as well as a Bachelor of Music (Classical Piano Performance) under the guidance of Dr. Wojciech Wisniewski (2022) at the Australian Institute of Music, Sydney. With an ever-growing passion for teaching, she is now pursuing a Masters of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) at ACU. Cynthia has received numerous awards at national piano competitions in Indonesia including 3rd Prize in the Indonesia National Piano Competition (2016 Advance Category) and 2nd Prize in the Veranza Piano Competition in 2017. Moving to Australia in 2019 has been a wonderful opportunity for Cynthia to continue to pursue her passion for piano and music education. She enjoys performing, teaching as well as accompanying students and other fellow musicians in both Sydney and Melbourne. Not only a highly accomplished classical pianist, Cynthia is also skilled in arranging popular songs and accompaniment for music production. With her endless enthusiasm for music education, lessons with Cynthia offer personalised, fun and unique ways for students of all ages to learn piano. She believes that music plays a vital role in every person's life to express what cannot be put into words.
