Piano Lessons for people with a disability including NDIS participants
Melbourne Piano School offers piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities. We believe that everyone should have an opportunity to explore their musical potential! Our experienced teachers enjoy working with people with a disability including many NDIS participants. We offer a warm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Piano lessons have an inherent therapeutic value and many students find learning piano helps improves their mood, builds self-esteem, supports their ability to self-regulate, improves motor coordination, and unleashes new opportunities for self-expression. Learning the piano incorporates both physical and mental challenges in a structured, fun, and supportive way. We are passionate about music education as a powerful force for improving mental health and well being!
Please note that Melbourne Piano School teachers are not therapists or allied health professionals, but are caring and compassionate music educators. If you are an NDIS participant, prior to booking, please consult with your Support Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator, or Plan Manager to determine if your NDIS funding can include support for attending piano lessons. Melbourne Piano School is not registered with NDIS and cannot provide advice about funding piano lessons for NDIS participants.
