With nearly two decades of piano experience, Stephanie Yau is an accomplished pianist and music educator now offering piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities in Southbank.
Stephanie continues to refine her skills while pursuing a Master of Music (Performance Teaching) at Melbourne Conservatorium, under the mentorship of esteemed pianist Elizabeth Mitchell. Her passion lies in nurturing young musicians, guiding them through their musical journey with dedication. Well-versed in various examination curriculum including both ABRSM and AMEB, Stephanie has successfully prepared numerous students for their exams. Alongside her academic focus, Stephanie also believes in the therapeutic power of music and strives to make learning piano a fun and enjoyable experience for all. Being familiar with a variety of method books including John Thomson, Alfred Basics, Piano Adventure, and Bastien, Stephanie chooses curriculum and tailors lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. Teaching from her home studio in Southbank, Stephanie is passionate about sharing her expertise and inspiring a love for music for beginners and advanced students alike. Music Qualifications Bachelor of Music, Melbourne University, 2022 ABRSM Grade 8 Theory, 2019 ATCL Piano, 2017 ABRSM Grade 8 Piano, 2016 Southbank Piano Tuition Fees $50 for 30 minutes $70 for 45 minutes $90 for 60 minutes Above fees are for weekly lessons by the school term. Casual lessons are available on a pay-as-you-go basis for an additional $7.50 per lesson. |
