Long Viet Tran is an accomplished classically trained pianist and flautist offering piano lessons at his studio in Balwyn.
Long completed both his Associate in Music (AMusA) and Licentiate in Music (LMusA) in piano while studying under Dr. Mark McGee at St Kelvin's College, Toorak. In 2020 he was also awarded an Associate in Music in flute. During his time at the college Long offered his piano skills to numerous jazz ensembles as well as performing in concert bands and symphonic orchestras as flautist, including the Mozart Flute Concerto in his senior year. As a keen musician and multi-instrumentalist, Long is also competent in playing guitar, bass guitar, drums and organ. He regularly performs organ at various college chapel and church services as well as in family bands. Long teaches students of all ages from his studio in Balwyn. He is a passionate music educator who believes that every student, regardless of their goals or background, should be given the opportunity to learn music. Lessons are adapted to accommodate student needs. Music Qualifications: AMusA Piano (2016) LMusA Piano (2019) AMusA Flute (2020) Piano Tuition Fees (Balwyn studio): 30 minutes - $50 45 minutes - $70 60 minutes - $90 In-home Piano Tuition Fees: 30 minutes - $55 45 minutes - $75 60 minutes - $95 In-home piano lessons are available in Balwyn, Mont Albert, Box Hill, and surrounding suburbs. Above fees are for ongoing weekly lessons, paid in advance by the term or by the month. Casual and fortnightly lessons may be offered dependent on availability and fees are an additional $7.50 per lesson. |
