Michael Jiang is an award winning classical pianist with extensive musical knowledge and experience. A dedicated and experienced music educator, Michael teaches piano from his home studio in Brighton East to students of all ages. Michael began his musical endeavours at the age of 5, and has received awards in numerous piano competitions as well as performed in many recitals and concerts over the years. Under the tutelage of Professor Mikhail Solovei and Profesor Igor Machlak, Michael achieved his AMusA Diploma at age 15, and an AW award for his LMusA exam at the age of 17. Aside from classical solo works he is well-versed in accompaniment, chamber music and symphonic orchestras. He has performed Rhapsody in Blue and Grieg Piano Concerto as well as other symphonic works. Michael’s teaching style is always centred around the student, being very adaptable and patient to the student's needs and goals. As an educator he is attentive towards developing the student's musical maturity and growth, whilst also maintaining a friendly manner and ensuring each lesson is enjoyable. Michael is happy to teach students at any calibre, from Preliminary AMEB to advanced levels. Piano Tuition Fees: 30 minutes - $45 45 minutes - $65 60 minutes - $85 Above fees are for ongoing weekly lessons, paid in advance by the term or by the month. Casual and fortnightly lessons may be offered dependent on availability and fees are an additional $5 per lesson. Michael teaches on a Yamaha upright piano from his home studio at 1/32 Bourneville Avenue, Brighton East.
