In-home Piano Lessons - Melbourne CBD
Victoria Liu, Pianist / Composer / Music Educator
Victoria Liu is a young and ambitious classical pianist with a passion for teaching children and adolescents ages 5 and up. Based in the CBD, she is currently offering in-home piano lessons to neighbouring suburbs, in English and Mandarin.
Victoria started learning piano at age 6 and has competed and won many local competitions in her teenage years. She also learned the flute, participated in many bands in her middle school and played the keyboard for their jazz band. She achieved both her AMusA (2019) and LMusA (2021) (AMEB) diplomas before starting her final year of her rigorous, STEM-focused high school. Having experienced the effort and discipline needed to deal with piano and school commitments at the same time, Victoria is dedicated to providing the best quality, personalised lessons to her students. She will attentively guide her student to perfection in all aspects of the music, whether it is rhythm, musical expressions, or any tricky passages. She also believes that constant communication with the parent/carer is highly beneficial, and a clear homework plan should be followed with daily practice, using a metronome, for best results. Outside of classical piano, Victoria is also an avid enjoyer of contemporary music, especially shoegaze, post-punk, and heavy metal. She started her Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, majoring in computer science in 2023, and is originally from Brisbane, Queensland.
