Hyung-Kyung Sophia Cho is a concert pianist with a Masters Degree in Piano Performance from the esteemed Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria. She has recently moved to Melbourne and now offers piano lessons at her studio in Southbank. As an experienced music educator, HK Sophia has guided dozens of piano students to successfully complete their ABRSM exams in the UK. Many of her students have received scholarships for prestigious private schools in London and some have performed at Carnegie Hall in New York. She has also worked as a piano accompanist for several choir groups including the Australian Women Choir Group, with whom she performed at the Australian High Commission in London. HK Sophia is happy to accept students of all ages and levels of experience. She is especially interested in exam preparation and teaching advanced level piano students. Music Qualifications Bachelor of Piano Performance, University of Music Karlsruhe, Germany, 2005 Master of Arts, Piano Performance, Mozarteum University Salzburg, Austria, 2010 European Piano Teachers Association course, London, UK 2017 Piano Tuition Fees with HK Sophia $50 for 30 minutes $70 for 45 minutes $90 for 60 minutes Above fees are for weekly lessons by the school term. Casual lessons are available on a pay-as-you-go basis for an additional $7.50 per lesson. |
