Sally Hughes, Piano Teacher
English Pianist Sally Hughes has more than 30 years of piano teaching experience. She studied music, specialising in Piano and Flute, at Bath University, England. Since then she has worked in diverse educational settings including primary and secondary schools, private music schools, TAFE, and with students of all ages at her own studio. Sally holds a B.Ed.(Hons.) degree in Music and a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music Diploma in Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London. With a life long passion for music, Sally has also worked as a conductor, accompanist to theatre groups, and is a published author in the field of music education. Lessons with Sally are individually tailored, following students' interests and aspirations to ensure they are playing music they enjoy, while developing a strong musical foundation. Technique and music theory are learnt primarily through playing pieces, and aural training can be included according to the student's needs. An End of Year Concert takes place to support students in gaining performance skills and to share their accomplishments with other students, friends & family.
