Ezequiel Balseca is an esteemed jazz musician from South America with years of training and performance experience throughout Europe. Now living in Melbourne, he offers jazz and classical piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities at his studio in Coburg. Ezequiel is Director and Composer of the Ezequiel Balseca Trio, who were nominated for Jazzahead 2020, the world's largest jazz event. He was also part of the Super Sax Project in Barcelona 6 years ago with whom he recorded his first EP Meteor. Ezequiel has performed with the Owen Langer Group in Hannover and was arranger and pianist of the Sandra Artigas Quartet. In 2019 he won First Prize at the Steinway Piano Jazz Competition in Stuttgart and was awarded Third Prize at the Baku International Jazz Competition 2019 in Azerbaijan. He has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg Jazz Association for the last 3 years, and has performed with renowned composer and percussionist Christian Lillinger. As a jazz pianist he has performed regularly in Spain, Germany, Poland and Ecuador over the last several years. As an experienced music educator Ezequiel specialises in Abby Whiteside method and Piano Somatics. His classes support students to develop a deeper awareness of the physical basis for performing in a way that is both beautiful and technically fluent. Piano Tuition Fees with Ezequiel 30 minutes - $50 45 minutes - $70 60 minutes - $90 Casual lessons may be offered dependent on availability Education & Qualifications Master´s Degree in Jazz Piano, State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, Faculty of Jazz and Pop, 2018 - 2020. Bachelor´s Degree in Music / Jazz Piano, Conservatory in Barcelona, Faculty of Jazz and Modern Music, 2013 - 2017. Studies in Jazz Piano as a participant in the Erasmus Programme, Academy of Music, Kraków, 2016. Classical and Jazz piano studies, Conservatory Franz Liszt in Quito (Ecuador), 2009 - 2012. Ezequiel teaches piano from his home studio at 16 Willow Grove, Coburg, 3058. Studio instrument: Yamaha P-95.
